How do you like the new Aston Martin Superleggera from the fresh James Bond movie “Not a Time to Die”? Sounds fantastic to me! The racing coupe accelerates to a hundred in 3,5 seconds, under a cowl there is a herd of 725 racers. Yes, Aston Martin knows how to impress! And it is not alone. Made for you a selection of cars from movies, behind the wheel of which would like to be every motorist.
I should say at once that it is very difficult to make such a selection objectively. In fact, the criterion “I like – I don’t like” is a matter of taste. But for greater objectivity, I chose such cars, which, firstly, were meaningful in the story, and secondly, had a recognizable and unusual appearance. Let’s go.
1. Supernatural Metallicar
Black as night Chevrolet Impala to the moment of release of “Supernatural” on the American car market you could buy for only $ 500 – the model was old, not particularly remarkable. But after the first season, prices skyrocketed. Today Impala, especially black, costs not less than 5000 dollars – everyone wants to feel himself a fighter with evil forces!
Fans of the series nicknamed the car Metallicar for its brutal character. The main character, Dean, who actually owns the Impala, affectionately called the car Baby. In the series, the car had these characteristics: the model 327, an eight-cylinder engine, 425 “horses” under the hood, a carburetor with four cameras, and a trunk full of weapons. Particularly attentive fans of the series remember many interesting facts. For example, that during the operation of the ventilation in the car you can hear a noise – it rattles lego parts, which Dean shoved there as a child.

2. Bat Supercar
Calling a cab to arrive on time at the scene of the crime, the superhero is not supposed to. In this case, it is important to have a reliable and ultra-fast unit in the garage. As, for example, in Batman.
One of the coolest batmobiles is considered a car from the 1989 film directed by Tim Burton. In this supercar, specially created for the picture, designer Anton Furst tried to embody the image of a fearless knight determined to fight evil.
From film to film the Batmobile changed its configuration and appearance, which largely reflected the director’s taste rather than the era.
In the appearance of the car there is a clear resemblance to jet planes. An interesting fact is that the base of the car was taken from the Chevrolet Impala, the rear lights were “gifted” by Ferrari 328, the rear lights by Honda Civic, and the gas tank lids were taken from the famous London buses.
Creating this unbelievable Frankenstein car, the authors were so carried away that they made a design mistake: the cockpit would catch the ears on Batman’s mask when closing, and they would crumple. However, it was too late to change anything in the car – they made another mask.
3. Red Fury Plymouth Fury
The autodemon “Christina” is the color of scarlet flame, a streamlined silhouette with bold fins, shiny chrome parts and a sea of charisma. The Plymouth Fury was produced in Detroit in 1958. The car was powered by a six-liter engine with 290 horsepower.
Rumor has it that Stephen King had some personal reasons for choosing this car as his main character. Not without reason Plymouth also appears in one of the chapters of the book “It”. But whatever it was, the choice was really good, because Fury means “fury” in English translation. It was this quality that was defining for the protagonist. 4. Steal a Wild Mustang
In the credits this car got its own name – Eleanor. And how else could it be, because this car really became the real star of the movie “Hijack in 60 Seconds”. One can argue a lot, which version of the movie is more canonical – 1974 or remake with Nicolas Cage of 2000, but fans agree on one thing: the car in the new movie is a hoot!
The Shelby Mustang GT 500 has a 428cc V-8 engine, 355 horses under the hood, and an incredibly stylish exterior with striking black stripe details.
An interesting fact is that in 1971 the Mustang was alone on the set and did all the dirty work. But in 2000, Shelby had as many as 10 understudies! The star rested herself in the parking lot while the replacement cars lost their shine on the dusty roads.

5. The Battle Tatra for the Toughest Truckers
Yes, yes, you didn’t mishear that – the base for creating the mythical monster from the movie “Road of Fury” was a Czech Tatra. Some elements from Chevrolet Fleetmaster were added to it. However, for the most part, the fighting truck is a product of the irrepressible imagination of designers, who worked on the project for almost 10 years.
The Combat Truck is The Citadel’s most powerful vehicle, according to the movie it has as much as 2,000 horsepower!
The automobile monster is almost 25 m long, it has 16 wheels, a huge bulldozer blade and a tank of colossal size. To build one such car is an exploit, and there were three of them made for the movie!
Sometimes the morning after a movie is released, the actor wakes up world-famous. That’s what happens with cars. What make of car from the movie or cartoon caught your eye? Don’t tell me the Blue Tractor – it’s already taken by my son.
